Black Floyd
Well, that takes care of that I guess. Floyd Landis’ “B” sample was found to have the same synthetic testosterone as his “A” sample. It’s a real shame that this has happened, especially since before this year’s Tour started a lot of the favorites were pulled due to a doping scandal.
I understand the doping we see in MLB and other professional sports where there is a lot of money on the line, but in professional cycling, are we really talking that much money? I don’t get it.
Now we’ll just wait to see if Floyd is stripped of his win, which he certainly should be.

Yeah.
Crappy.
I hate the doping, especially in the MLB, but frankly I don’t see it ever stopping, because as soon as one person cheats, at least one or two more feel like they have to, and so on. Never mind when coaches sneak stuff into their athletes’ water and whatnot.

Hell, I’m thinking of ingesting some human growth hormones so I can give the old cerebellum a fighting chance in the Blogosphere. Competition is fierce here and I’ve got to make sure I stay sharp. How many sermons on They Live can I pull from my ass before my readers discover the emperor has no clothes.

@JFCC – Whoa, whoa, whoa! “Never mind when coaches sneak stuff into their athletes’ water and whatnot.” Talk about conspiracy, I’ve never heard, read or thought anything like that. What do coaches have to gain by doing something like that?
You hit the nail on the head with your first sentence and then went completely off the tracks.
@Ed – I think some of your readers are waiting to see the emperor without his clothes. May I point to Rich as exhibit A?

Hey hey! I wasn’t trying to be a conspiracy theorist! I was remembering something I’d heard during the 2004 Olympics. Here’s the story I was thinking of:
Gatlin masseur denies dope claim

(P.S. So anyway, the situation was such that I heard the part of the story in which the coach claimed the masseuse put the testosterone cream on Gatlin without Gatlin’s knowledge, but not the rest of it. I’m guilty of gullibility, perhaps, and for sloth in not following up, but not madness, thank you very much.)
