Heroes: Homecoming
Worst epsiode ever…
Just kidding. It was okay, but nothing as great as what has come before it, which is why it has taken me a while to write about it. Another reason is I am not feeling the love on this from you readers, so I don’t know why I bother. I mean, I know more than a few of you watch this every week, yet no one besides Ed really comments.
The same goes for Ed‘s posts on Lost. No one besides me has any thoughts on it? I find that hard to believe and even if you agree with everything we write or you have nothing to add, you could just let us know that you agree. We get more comment Spam than regular comments these days, so why do we bother?
Sorry for the rant, but it i... Continue reading »
ATHF: Grim Reaper Gutters
The very start of this one sucked with Meatwad and Master Shake reminiscing about stuff that didn’t really happen to them. Frylock finally shows up and shows them a clip of stuff he did to save their asses in the past and half I recognized and half I didn’t, so that must be new stuff in there for the purpose of proving the point, but some of it looked damned funny and why aren’t they making that?
Eventually, the lure Carl over with a Tera Patrick guest appearance and the Grim Reaper Gutter guy snuffs him out, which was damn funny.
Oh, wait, speaking of damn funny… the picture up there. That was damn funny. Can you tell what that is? No? Hmm…too bad you can’t watch this one on the web anymore.
Up this Sunday night, or right now on [adultswim.com], is “Moonajuana.” Go take a hit…
Phootball Fotography
Here’s yet another thing I am late with, but with good reason. It takes a long time to go thru 300+ photos that I shot at the game. Then, you have to some adjustments to each with respect to the lighting and sharpness before finally cropping them. I never do any of this with my other stuff, but it seems very necessary with sports photography.
I have to tell you, this has to be the hardest stuff to shoot. I suppose that’s why sports photographers make a good sack of coin and run about the sidelines with $10-20k of equipment hanging from their bodies. You only have one chance to get the shot. I’m pretty sure I didn’t get any, but I’ll keep trying. If you want to see what I did get, here’s the photo set.
You know what? Maybe weddings are harder to shoot because you... Continue reading »
Pam v Karen
Picked up a link in the boston.com Viewer Discretion blog tonight. I don’t normally read that, but I clicked on a lead-in link about NBC in-show ads which I complained about in my last Office post.
Anyway, you can buy a shirt for the camp you fall into; Team Karen or Team Pam. Not sure the waste of money is worth it, but if you are so inclined, here’s a direct link.
Unlike the blogger, I’m on Team Karen right now. Jim might as well “totally hit that” now, while he can, because we know she’ll be gone eventually, and then have Pam later…
U, U, D, D, L, R, L, R, A, B, Select, Start
I just picked up the new Deftones disc tonight and it is the title of the sixth track. I’m sure some of you can easily identify where that title originated. Freakin cool…
The Office: The Merger
Wasn’t I just ripping on Ed a little bit with respect to taking too long to post a Lost review?
Yeah… that was me. Now I feel like a hypocrite as it has taken me nearly a week to post this, not that there was really any clamor for it, nor did I promise it on any kind of schedule. So anyway, here it is…
Given the build up that “Branch Closing” left us with, I was hoping for something that was at least as good, but “The Merger” fell a little short and I am not sure how I feel about that. Don’t get me wrong, I laughed quite a bit, but then I also had a lot of uncomfortable moments too.
My uncertainty about the enjoyment is due to the discomfort. I couldn’t tell if it was always intentional or if it was just because some things didn’t fly like... Continue reading »
Click for Cans
Not those kind of cans… the soup kind. Help the Pats move up the list and you’ll help make a donation (or something) to a food bank. It only takes one click and you don’t sign-up for anything…
An explanation of what it is all about and the current results can also be found on the site.
Lost: I Do
Ed has finally posted about “I Do” over at the Ed Zone. You know, if he really does get this far behind, we’ll be reading about the season ender just before the start of season four…
I kid, but he did promise it by the weekend. I suspect he’s busy like the rest of us and it has coincided with a lull in wanting to blog.
Anyway, my comments are on the post. The summary for me is, while we got a couple new items to ponder in Jacob and Alex, it wasn’t the cliffhanger I was hoping for, so I’ll be looking forward to the restart in February, but not dying for it to come.
Heroes: Seven Minutes to Midnight
For Chapter 8, we don’t see the Petrelli boys (thank you Geez-us), Niki, D.L. or Micah. I also happened to notice that creator Tim Kring wrote this chapter, so does that mean we get more reveals than usual? No… not that I could tell. Well, on to my lightbulb moments and queries.
Activating Evolution has the original picture of Chandra Suresh (Erick Avari) on it as he finally makes an appearance. It would seem the picture swap I noted in Collision was a continuity error. I did a quick Google search and hit upon a Heroes Wiki that tells the tale. Unfortunately, I can’t read the Wiki since that will lead me down the... Continue reading »
ATHF: Global Grilling
Much better than the previous episode. I didn’t get the title until about halfway thru the episode, but it eventually makes sense. Shake and Meatwad start off making Mucus Men. Then we get an Alton Brown reference, a polar bear eating Meatwad and Carl back to his normal self…
Go and check it out on [adultswim.com]. They run the current episode each week in their video section, so no YouTube required.
