Barack the vote
Originally, I was just going to post with a request that you vote, but I thought of that title and had to go with it.
I am not a political person in the least and I make it a habit not to comment about it too much here because it is so polarizing sometimes and yeah, I don’t have the energy for debate. That said, I have to say something now. I think this election is probably the most important since I have been of age to vote and I’d like to see that everyone gets their say.
My choice has nothing to do with your say either. As I said, I just want you to vote. If you are registered, you owe it to everyone in this country to vote in this election. I will even allow you to waste it on Nader or someone not named McCain or Obama. Just vote.
At the local level, let’s make sure we save the pups and don’t legalize it. That said, if McCain wins, can we vote again and legalize it? If he wins, I think I might prefer being in a haze. Either that or I am moving out of this country for a while. Maybe I could work in my company’s London office for the next four years.
As for my choice, how can you go wrong with a guy that says: “Contrary to the rumors you have heard, I was not born in a manger. I was actually born on Krypton and sent here by my father, Jor-el, to save the planet Earth.”
I’m sure there’s a few issues I agree with him about as well. If you don’t like the politics, then maybe you like the television instead. I posted a new telefizzled tonight too. See previous post.

Don’t you worry. I’ll be there first thing Tuesday morning to cast my vote. Anything to get Dubya out of office (my assumption is that if none of us vote, he gets to hang out for another four years and now that he’s dismantled the country, he gets a whack at destroying the world. That’s not happening on my watch.)
Anyway, despite my initial inclination to vote for McCain simply because the 4 years of Palin jokes was too tantalyzing, I’ve reversed course and will Barack the vote. (Kidding on the first part – the Phant Party never had my vote. Never had. Never will.)

I too have voted….though I disagree with the movie scribes political views….4 years of Palin jokes much better than 4 years of Biden bitterness

@Juice – I’ve got to admit. Once again, another election has come and gone and I was left choosing the lesser of two (maybe not evils) but let’s just say, not ideals. One of these elections, we’ll get a JFK 2.0. One of these days.

Time will tell, but I feel like Obama has a chance to really make change, especially with a party aligned Congress.
As for Palin jokes, I’m sure Tina Fey didn’t want to become a regular on SNL again, and she’d have to be if the elephants win. (Would she be Dan Quayle 2.0?) Either that or maybe that was why Palin was on… she’d appear weekly to make fun of herself. Not like she’s qualified to do much else.
