Eddie Izzard off 24

It sucked to read in last week’s Entertainment Weekly that Eddie Izzard won’t be appearing on 24 this season after all. I’m not so sure I’ll be able to force myself to watch it this season. I guess I’ll still try it out, but I bet I don’t last more than five episodes before dropping it. That was my M.O. the first three seasons, so I don’t see how it could change with this news.

Yes, I am one of those people that doesn’t dig 24 despite how many people tell me how much it rocks. Get over it. I also don’t like House or Prison Break either.

You know what? I just don’t like Fox shows I guess…

Tellyman: Week One

Dwight Schrute bobbleheadFor most of us, this week kicked off the first week of the new television season. Sorry, I don’t watch any of the crap on FOX, although that will change when 24 starts up until they kill off Eddie.

Oops, check that… I have watched the first two episodes of ‘Til Death. The giant from Ray doesn’t nothing for me, but I was interested to see what Eddie Kaye Thomas would do on the show and that Kat Foster, who plays his wife, is a little cutie. Thomas is playing it too straight as an assistant principal at the school in which the giant next door neighbor teaches. Of course, the show sucks much ass and I wasted 44 minutes — thank you Media Center — of my life. I knew it would, but I had to make sure. I’m still bitter that Off Centre was cancelled over on UPN, but whatever.

As I stated in the My Super Ex-Girlfriend review, I am a big fan. I’m guessing he’s going to channel his inner *action transvestite* for the role as new baddie Darren McCarthy.

My Super Ex-Girlfriend

My Super Ex-Girlfriend posterI saw this movie a little over a month ago with my super ex-girlfriend. This is funny for two reasons; one being the obvious and the other because I also took in The Break-Up with her. Checking out that one was my idea because I thought it would be more comedy than anything else, but that was so not the case. This one was her choice, probably mostly because she’s a Luke Wilson fan.

Watching movies about breaking-up with your Ex is like watching a movie with sex on a first date; a bit uncomfortable. Of course, that was probably more true of the other movie than this one. Remember, I got “smacked in the face” by that one.

Anyway, I just never got around to writing about it and I figured I’d leave it until later. Well, later is now and I’m sure this will be out on DVD pretty soo... Continue reading »
