Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular

I was able to check out the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular down at the Roger Williams Park Zoo on Sunday. Sure, it was the day after Halloween, but when better to beat the crowds? By all accounts, it must get real crowded prior to the holiday and I encourage you to check it out next year.

That said, I documented the experience for my fellow pumpkin-lovers to enjoy from the warm confines of their home internets. Did I mention it got pretty chilly that night? Just about anything here kicked the crap out of the one I carved this year, but then, I wouldn’t pay to see a bunch of my crappy carvings.

Halloween cheerleaders

Patriots cheerleaders

As promised last week, here are the cheerleader photos from the Rams and Pats game last October. (I added them to the game set and the larger cheerleader set as well.)

Oh… that’s right, no one seemed to want to look at those photos much. I guess you really are ready for baseball, but seriously, there’s a few good ones there, no? I’m sure all the bro’s think there are some here as well. Pigs.

Hahaha… well, I am doing my best to catch up. I will get the baseball ones up for Opening Day that night. Promise! But, I likely won’t get thru my backlog by then, so you’ll have to suffer thru some Fall... Continue reading »

She’s a witch

Peabody Essex Museum

Still posting up some old-ish photos and these are from a walk around Salem “Witch City” Mass for a few hours last October. As most from the area know, October is the month for Salem. It was a couple weekends before Halloween and the place was still jammed. Couldn’t get on a tour or anything. 🙁 Next time, make reservations!

Anyway, I took the time to take some photos anyway, although they aren’t great. I really mean that this time. I had a hard time picking which one to use for the post. A lot of that had to do with the sun going down and such. I’ll see if I can get something better next time I am up there. For now, I figured why not throw something up anyway. Enjoy?

Unlike most of the other sets lately, th... Continue reading »

Happy Halloween

J.D. and the dude from CastawayNothing like posting a Happy Halloween post about an hour before the day is over, but that’s just the way it goes sometimes. If I wasn’t a major sleepaholic or I was a major slacker at work, I could have either gotten up earlier this morning and posted or posted while at work, but since I am and I am not, you get this now.

Makes perfect sense, right? You better read that again…

Anyway, I wanted to post a photo of my Halloween costume this year because I was so happy to have had one in a while. Okay, so that is a lie. You can see my last one from 2003, which is or isn’t a while, over on Ed’s blog (he was Tom Hanks from Castaway again, which is still a kick ass costume three years later). I don’t know if I can consider me as Affleck a costume since he seems indicate I dressed as... Continue reading »
